Jennifer Contino of Pulse had a long conversation with Cullen Bunn about The Damned: Prodigal Sons and the future of The Damned series as a whole.
THE PULSE: I can’t imagine keeping your sanity after seeing glimpses of the afterlife and those who have passed on before you … how does Eddie manage not to lose his marbles here?
BUNN: Who says he hasn’t lost his marbles? Here’s a guy who thinks he can beat the demons at their own game, and his big plan in Prodigal Sons is to slice his wrists and bleed out in hopes of rescuing his mother from the afterlife. I’d call him crazy … crazy like a fox!

Brian Hurtt & Cullen Bunn sat down with RevolutionSF.com to talk about the future of The Damned, including the new mini series and the recent Dreamworks purchase of the title.
Come clean. You picked the title The Damned so you could be referred to as the creators from The Damned (or if you prefer, of The Damned). I mean, how cool sounding is that?
CB: You’ve figured us out!
BH: It’s almost impossible to do a headline without using that title, isn’t it? You caught us.

Rescued By Nerds has posted a behind-the-scenes look at The Damned: Prodigal Sons #2. Rich Barrett picks a scene from a comic and dissects and analyzes it with the help of Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt. You can find the article here.
The second issue of The Damned: Prodigal Sons hits the streets today. Eddie’s embarked on a mad scheme to rescue his mother from the afterlife. But Bruno Roarke intends to make sure Eddie never returns from the dead again. Only Morgan stands between his brother and a pack of holwing mad demons!

Comic Book Resources sat down with Cullen Bunn to discuss The Damned: Prodigal Sons, Eddie’s strange curse, and a little about what might be in store for Morgan.
“The deal Eddie’s father made, the fate of Eddie’s mother, and even the scars upon Morgan’s flesh are all connected,” Bunn said. “While this story arc is about family, the series as a whole often concerns choices — why we make them, how we live with the consequences of said choices, and how we react when those choices are taken out of our hands.”

“Bunn and Hurtt don’t rest easy on their laurels in launching volume two. The story moves forward, but it also moves in a different direction, not content to settle for re-treading over the same old ground.” Read the Review!
